Novation Solutions, LLC (NovationSi), the manufacturing subsidiary for R.D. Abbott Co., Inc. (RDAbbott), has named Steve Hersey Plant Manager.
Prior to joining NovationSi, Hersey was the General Manager for HEXPOL Compounding in Akron, Ohio. While at HEXPOL, he managed substantial volume growth over four years and sales revenue experienced exponential growth during his tenure. Hersey brings a veteran approach to silicone manufacturing as he began his HEXPOL career as a Lead Operator and later served as a Production Supervisor. He has also owned a construction business and worked as an Operations Lead for Portage Precision Polymers before it was acquired by HEXPOL.
“Steve was involved in all aspects of the silicone business at HEXPOL and successfully managed the transition of the company’s silicones operations to a new location with significantly greater capabilities,” said Bob Bradley, President of NovationSi. “With Steve’s industry experience and commitment to doing the right things for people, we’re confident he will be a strong asset to NovationSi. Steve began his NovationSi career on March 20, 2023, and is part of a team of elastomer technologists, compounders, and pigment specialists who work closely with RDAbbott’s material scientists and application engineers to create fully customized elastomer solutions that solve tough industry challenges.
