Aras Discusses Scaling Simulation for Advanced Product Design and the Digital Twin at NAFEMS France 2018

Tim Keer, Director of Customer Solutions at Aras, presented at the NAFEMS France 2018 Regional Conference Yesterday, November 14th in Paris, France. His presentation explored the importance of simulation automation to enable advanced product design and the Digital Twin.

As manufacturers and suppliers globally face growing product complexity, the Digital Thread has emerged as a communication framework for distributing product lifecycle information—and as businesses seek opportunities for innovation and for keeping up with the competition, simulation capabilities have become more important than ever before. Recently, Aras announced plans to bring an open, platform-based approach to simulation processes in order to manage the anticipated demand for simulation.

In his presentation, “Abstract Data Model for the Complex Requirements of Modern SPDM,” Mr. Keer explored why effective simulation process and data management (SPDM) is essential for organizations to scale the use of simulation in order to replace physical testing and verify design. He presented use cases in the aerospace, heavy equipment, and electronics industries to demonstrate how various companies have achieved ROI through simulation process management. Attendees may join his presentation at 12:30pm in the main session.
